Fashion is always changing, slightly elusive, extremely seductive. By definition, Fashion is the style and custom prevalent at a given time.
Fashion has the power to transform an image and to make a social statement. It is a method of utilizing clothing and accessories to show off or hide something about yourself. You can use fashion to disguise your true self or to transform yourself.
The flair fashion accessory today is scarves. Scarves scarves scarves! Scarves of all shapes and sizes. Scarves worn as hair accessories, belts, or around the neck, just add fun. They can show off an outfit or disguise anything.
Designers influence the directions of fashion. Five or six months prior to the season they are busy designing the next new trend and, along with celebrities, bring the fashion to the fore front.
Ultimately, it is you, the consumer, who will decide what is "in" when you choose whether or not to buy the trend.
Whatever your style is, remember, it is an extension of your personality. It portrays an image of you to others.

Clothing Company has been in the fashion business for the past 23 years
and specializes in natural fibre clothing made from cotton, silk and
bamboo, among others. The store also has an earth-friendly ethic,
which is why owner Noreen Lynas decided to start carrying Echoes in the
Attic products.Cottons Clothing Company has become the exclusive Kootenay retailer of Echoes in the Attic, a Canadian company that rescues tons of landfill-bound fabrics every week and remakes them into chic fashion and home accessories.
"Echoes has a fascinating story," Noreen says. "It was
started five years ago by Laura Jennekens who was being treated for
breast cancer at the time and needed something to keep her mind off her
illness.
She had worked in the interior design industry previously
and was disheartened by all the waste of beautiful fabric and so decided
to create a company that transforms all that leftover material into
funky handbags, totes and computer bags." Each bag is designed
when ordered to ensure its uniqueness.
"We decided to carry Echoes in the Attic because we believe strongly in
supporting Canadian designers who have an environmental awareness and a
unique product," Noreen continues.Cottons Clothing Company has also taken on three new Vancouver-based lines including Echo Rain, Dish Jeans and Refurbished, a jewelry line made of recycled or reclaimed silver. Both Dish Jeans and Echo Rain have been causing a stir lately in the fashion world, the latter because of its :Eco Apparel" made of such environmentally-friendly fabric as bamboo, lyocell (wood pulp cellulose) and wool and its raincoats that are constructed of a minimum of 90 percent recycled polyester. As for Dish Jeans, their new "Desi" line is expressly built for real women with real curves and boast "no bag/no sag" properties.
"We cater to everyone, whether they're young or young in spirit," says Noreen. "We are a small store with a big heart and we have a wonderful store greeter: Izzy the cat."
